If this doesn't get you excited, then nothing will. LCD TVs have become all the rage and there is nothing better than a big screen TV. And when you couple LCD TV with HD TV, look out. An amazing physical display combined with a fantastic output. This is what is happening in LCD TV technology today.
If you are like most people looking to replace your TV, you've probably been paying close attention to High Definition Television sets (HD-TV).
Unlike the previous generation of TV, which used analog signals to transmit information, HD-TVs use digital signals to transmit a signal and receive and display
information directly on the television set. The HD-TVs also use a High-Resolution digital television set and Dolby Digital surround sound. The combination of the two creates incredible
pictures and sounds - the best available on the market to date. HD-TV television offers viewers a level of detail they haven't seen before: including a resolution about five times higher than that of analog TV.
The main thing to remember when you are shopping for HD-TV set is that just because a television is "digital" it does not mean it is necessarily "HD-TV compatible". There are two levels below the HD level (standard definition TV and enhanced definition
TV), both of which are vastly better than analog televisions but still of considerably lower quality than an LCD TV- HD-TV set.
Since the FCC has mandated that all television sets eventually switch
from analog to digital, you should know the differences between the different types of digital TVs.
Here are some tips. When looking to purchase an HD-TV, remember to compare the difference in picture resolution, audio features, and pixels. HD-TV requires a minimum of 720 horizontal
scanning lines (enhanced definition TV, while considerably higher than standard definition TV, only features a minimum of 480 scanning lines) and the resolution on an HD-TV is 1920 x 1080 compared to enhanced definition TV, which only has a resolution of 1280 x 780.
When you experience a HD-TV image and then compare it to other TVs' technology on the market, the difference will be clear. With "HD" everything looks and sounds far more realistic than on any
other type of system. We think that once you see a big screen LCD TV with HD-TV, the choice will be clear.
This is just the tip of the iceberg when looking for a HD LCD TV.
In fact, many of the most important tips haven't been mentioned here. Learn about LCD TVs before making a purchase.

Photography: The Basics
Photography comes from the Greek words meaning "light writing" and first became known back in 1839 by Sir John Herschel. For many years prior to this, people had discovered ways of causing certain chemicals to change color when exposed to light but they did not discover ways of getting the images to remain permanent until later on. Now photography is a big part of our culture, something that everyone recognizes. Most everyone has family photos lying around their house, many people take these photos on a regular basis, preserving precious memories for years to come. Even if you don't have your own camera, you have seen photos in magazines, used on billboards and advertisements and more.
What is Photography?Photography is defined as "The art or process of producing images by the action of light on surfaces sensitized by chemical processes." (www.ncpublicschools.org/curriculum/ArtsEd/vglossar.htm)The average person never has to deal with this technical definition because they take...

LCD TVs Boast Rapidly Improving Benefits
In the modern television electronics filed, the landscape is constantly changing and what was true just a few months ago may not be true now. As HDTV broadcasting stands to come into it's own as this year progresses, there are several surrounding technologies that are on the fast track for
improvement as well.
One of those is LCD monitors used for displaying the HDTV signal. Actaully there are three major competing screen technologies at this point and they all have certain unique characteristics that can influence your buying decision. Of course, any of them would be a major improvement on the old
CRT displays that have been in prevalent use for many years now. These three monitor types are LCD, DLP, and plasma screens.
For the sake of this article, let's discuss LCD monitors and how manufacturers are making improvements that are diminishing the drawbacks that have been associated with LCD TVs.

Disgusted by the high stress and often poorly managed Seattle area software industry, Zan Oliphant left corporate America in September of 2003 to form a new company called Zanware ? a play on his name."I wanted to create a line of hybrid products ? products that require both hardware and software development, and that use TCP/IP to communicate between the two," said Oliphant. "Fellow engineers in the industry warned me that the days of hand crafting hardware in the garage are over, and new technology required massive amounts of capital just to get started," he added.By April of 2004 Zanware released it's first product, the Zanware PC Controller, a powerful, yet low cost remote TCP/IP controller for your personal computer. Each controller mounts in a standard UL 3-gang box, and is powered through the Cat5 Ethernet cable. Just like any networked computer, the controller has an IP address, and communicates through the TCP protocol to your networked Windows (soon Linux and Macintosh) computer.These...
